My adventure in luxury tourism began in 1982, laying the foundation for my deep hospitality industry experience. From 1985, I had the privilege of working with prestigious brands like CIGA Hotels (at the Hotel Des Bains on Venice Lido) and the renowned Hotel Beau Rivage in Lausanne, Switzerland, a Leading Hotel of the World. Subsequently, I held key roles at Venetian icons such as the Hotel Cipriani, the Hotel Danieli in Venice, and the Hotel Excelsior on Venice Lido. This phase allowed me to gain in-depth knowledge of every facet of hotel operations, from Front Office to Food & Beverage and exclusive event coordination.
My career then shifted towards Sales & Marketing, where I managed the Regional Sales Office for Starwood Hotels in Venice. I concluded this phase as Director of Sales at the historic Hotel Bauer and Bauer Il Palazzo in Venice, solidifying my expertise in high-level hotel commercial strategies.
In November 2002, during the World Travel Market in London, the idea that would give rise to ON VIEW was born. Initially, ON VIEW stood for “Ornella Naccari – Venice, Italy Exclusive Weddings,” setting the stage for my specialization in exclusive weddings in Italy. In parallel, I launched my own Sales & Marketing consultancy for independently owned hotels and embarked on my career as a Wedding Planner. I started my activity in Venice, then expanded to cover all of Italy from 2009, becoming a go-to expert for personalized weddings in some of Italy’s most romantic venues.
Over the years, I’ve managed numerous consulting projects for tourism associations, hotels, and travel agencies, constantly expanding my local knowledge and professional network. In September 2017, ON VIEW evolved into ON VIEW Experiences & Weddings (Ornella Naccari – Venetian, Italian Experiences & Weddings), solidifying its position as a travel agency and tour operator specializing in tailored cultural experiences.
My dedication to personalization and inclusivity led me to launch innovative initiatives in LGBTQ+ tourism: in 2005, veneziagay.com; in 2014, weddingay.com; and in 2017, venetogay.com. These projects reflect my commitment to creating welcoming and inclusive travel experiences for everyone.
With over 40 years of experience in the tourism and hospitality sector, I can confidently say that my passion for this incredible profession is as vibrant and strong as it was on day one. This extensive experience now allows me to create unique and unforgettable journeys and weddings, handling every detail with the same attention and dedication that has always defined me.
