A walk through one of the most suggestive area of Venice: the Cannaregio sestiere. We will start in front the train station to get the Jewish Ghetto, the oldest of Europe with its 5 synagogues, 2 campi (squares) and its buildings that are among the highest of the city. We will go on to St. Alvise, an area away from the din, to enjoy the marvellous view of the north of the Lagoon. The next stop will be in Madonna dell’Orto where one of the most famous painters of the Venetian Renaissance Jacopo Robusti called the Tintoretto lived. The Abazia and the Scuola Grande della Misericordia will be the two last stops before finishing the tour in one of the typical “bacaro” of the site to taste a cicchetto drinking the most famous Venetian aperitif: the spritz!
